Position Summary:

The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for delivering high-quality preventive dental care and education to patients. This role involves performing dental cleanings, assessments, and treatments while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for all patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.
  • Perform patient assessments, including taking medical histories, measuring gum health, and charting dental conditions.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
  • Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments as needed.
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in dental hygiene practices and technology.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.


Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Valid state dental hygiene license and current CPR certification.
  • Strong knowledge of dental procedures, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
