Position Overview:

The IT Manager is responsible for administering and managing the company’s information technology strategy, operations, and training. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of network administration and maintenance. This position will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of company operations and a long-term impact on overall growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, subscriptions, and networks.
  • Administer SharePoint and other cloud-based collaboration environments.
  • Implement and monitor security protocols to protect organizational data and systems.
  • Identify, negotiate and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Develop and manage disaster recovery plans and protocols.
  • Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
  • Oversee IT support services to ensure user satisfaction and efficient problem resolution; respond to inquiries and requests for assistance with the company’s computer systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in IT operations.
  • Oversee the ordering, maintenance, disposal, onboarding, and offboarding of IT related company property (i.e., laptops, printers, subscriptions, etc.).
  • Train employees to use software and hardware; troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed.
  • Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis when upgrades are necessary and monitor vendors to ensure that they’re offering the best possible service and value for business needs.
  • Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Management.
  • Extensive knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring.
  • Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions.
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking.
  • The ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Proactive thinking - the ability to take initiative and make improvements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science.

Working Conditions / Environment:

This is a hybrid position and will include travel to the company entities as needed. This position regularly works out of a controlled office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, projectors, smartphones, copy/fax, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary position; however, some physical work will be required. Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
