Head of US Legal - Global Hedge Fund

We are collaborating with a prestigious Global Hedge Fund that is seeking an experienced attorney to lead its legal function in the United States as it continues to expand its global presence. In this role, you will have direct access to senior stakeholders, including portfolio managers, investor relations professionals, traders, and more. The ideal candidate will provide transactional and regulatory advice on securities trading matters across various asset classes. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with front office professionals across portfolio management and trading teams, serving as an advisor on both legal and operational matters.
• Act as a key legal resource across various asset classes, including equities, credit products, derivatives, and other securities.
• Advise senior stakeholders on existing and upcoming U.S. laws and regulations.
• Lead various corporate matters across the organization, including contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance, labor and employment issues, and more.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 7 years of legal experience in both law firm and in-house environments.
• Strong understanding of legal issues related to securities trading across various asset classes.
• Ability to convey complex legal terminology in a simplified manner.
