Job Title: Driver HelperJob DescriptionAs a Driver Helper, you will assist in delivering products to job sites, load and unload trucks by hand, and occasionally use a forklift (training and certification will be provided). You will also be responsible for stocking the warehouse, receiving and counting stock items, and recording data either manually or using a computer.ResponsibilitiesHelp deliver products to job sites.Load and unload trucks by hand.Operate a forklift (certification will be provided).Stock the warehouse and maintain inventory.Receive and count stock items, and record data.Pack and unpack items to be stocked in storage areas.Verify inventory by comparing physical counts and investigating discrepancies.Store items in an orderly and accessible manner.Label stock items using tags, stamps, or electronic tools.Clean and maintain supplies, tools, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Determine proper storage methods and stock locations.Inspect stock items for wear or defects and report any damage.Dispose of or return damaged or defective items.Advise customers or internal users on parts, supplies, or materials.Confer with purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement.Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.Rectify problems such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.Deliver or route materials to departments using hand trucks or sorting bins.Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies.Attach identifying tags to containers.Maintain equipment storage areas to protect inventory.Distribute work orders to departments.Review documents and work orders to determine materials requirements or priorities.Essential Skills1+ year experience in order pulling, loading/unloading trucks, heavy lifting, and warehouse operations.6+ months experience in a moving company.Ability to lift up to 75lbs.Ability to stand for 10+ hours a day.Additional Skills & Qualifications6+ months customer service experience.6+ months sit-down forklift experience.Why Work Here?We offer room to grow within the company, providing opportunities for career advancement and professional development.Work EnvironmentYou will work with a CDL driver as part of a team of two, with a total of 13 teams. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toed boots, and a work shirt or sweatshirt.
