Advantage Resourcing is looking for a talented and experienced Safety Supervisor to join a leading company specializing in railway ties, utility poles, residential lumber, and other industrial wood products. If you're ready to take the next step in your safety career, we want to hear from you!
Salary: $65K - $72K annually
As the Safety Supervisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring the health and safety compliance of the facility. You will oversee safety inspections, audits, training, and the implementation of health and safety policies. Additionally, you will lead investigations into accidents and incidents, provide guidance to supervisors and plant employees on safety matters, and ensure accurate reporting and recordkeeping.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct health and safety facility inspections and audits.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Provide training on safety protocols and compliance.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Advise department supervisors and plant employees on health and safety matters.
  • Maintain accurate and timely health and safety reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Participate in company safety programs and contribute to a culture of safety.
  • Occasional travel to EHS training events.
  • May be responsible for additional plant operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a safety-related role.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is a plus.
