We are seeking a process-driven and highly organized Marketing Communications Manager to produce and lead our communications efforts across a diverse range of industries, including tourism, hospitality, fashion, B2B, agriculture, retail, and more. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end communication strategies, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal teams, and delivering impactful results for our clients. This position offers the opportunity to grow and structure the communications department, driving both internal efficiency and external success.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Research & Strategic Planning:

- Conduct research to identify industry trends, competitor insights, and platform trends. Use this data to inform communication strategies and ensure that campaigns are relevant and cutting-edge.


- Collaborate with strategy, media, and client teams to create communication execution plans that align with client objectives and long-term goals.


2. Creative Concept Development:

- Develop creative marketing communication concepts based on client campaigns, tailoring messaging to diverse industries while maintaining alignment with client strategies and goals.


- Lead brainstorming sessions with internal teams, including design, production, and content, to ensure the integration of creative ideas that support campaign objectives.


3. Content Creation & Multi-Platform Management:

- Oversee the creation of key content pieces for websites, email marketing, and social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest.


- Ensure that content is optimized for each platform, maintaining consistency across channels while delivering tailored messaging that resonates with target audiences.


- Collaborate closely with the design and production teams to create compelling visuals that enhance communication efforts.


4. Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Coordination:

- Organize and facilitate collaboration between departments, ensuring seamless coordination between the communications, design, content, and production teams.


- Serve as the central point of contact to ensure that all internal teams are aligned with campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables, fostering an environment of open communication and accountability.


5. Campaign Rollout & Execution:

- Lead the full rollout of communication campaigns, ensuring that all creative directions and strategic goals are effectively executed across platforms and channels.


- Manage the granular details of campaign implementation, making sure that all pieces come together smoothly and are delivered on time.


6. Team Leadership & Department Growth:

- Manage and mentor a small team of community managers, ensuring that they follow client scope of work, social media playbooks, and brand guidelines.


- Play a key role in structuring and scaling the communications department, implementing processes and workflows that improve efficiency and set the foundation for growth over the next 12 months.


7. Client Engagement & Communication:

- Act as a key communicator between clients and the agency, attending and leading client meetings to present communication plans, timelines, and progress updates.


- Provide clients with clear and transparent updates, fostering trust and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.


8. Monitoring, Reporting, & Optimization:

- Track the performance of communication campaigns through detailed analytics, ensuring that all efforts are aligned with client KPIs and objectives.

- Produce bi-weekly growth and performance reports, using data to demonstrate the effectiveness of communication strategies and providing actionable insights for future improvements.


- Proactively identify any potential issues or roadblocks, developing strategies to address them and keep campaigns on track.


Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, preferably within an agency environment.


- Proven ability to lead and grow a department, with experience in structuring teams and processes.


- Strong collaboration skills, with a track record of working cross-functionally with design, production, strategy, and media teams.


- Exceptional writing, editing, and content creation skills, with experience crafting messages for a variety of platforms.


- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and workflows across departments.


- Strong analytical skills, with experience producing reports and optimizing campaigns based on data-driven insights.


- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.


- Strong client-facing communication skills, with experience leading presentations and managing stakeholder relationships.


Additional Information:

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year


Hybrid work model: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
