Inside the Role
DTR Pricing Strategy and Contract Analyst will be responsible for delivering used truck trade and residual valuations along with contracting to ensure Daimler Truck Remarketing achieves and maintains its position as a World Class Used Truck Business.
This role is dealer/customer facing and will require successful collaboration within and outside of DTR, primarily Acquisitions, Market Intelligence, and field sales from DTR along with New Truck Sales, New Truck Pricing, Daimler Truck Financial Services, Dealers, and Customers. The ideal candidate will bring a business mindset, strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills, as well as being culture focused and inclusive driven.

Position offers a starting salary range of $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Pricing Strategy : Develop pricing for current and future product portfolio driving inventory for DTR while mitigating financial risk.
  • Market Research: Understand competitive landscape on used truck pricing in the marketplace.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting : Develop and automate key performance indicators (KPI's) to monitor quote performance, quote history by fleet, dealer, age and truck specifications, along with tracking mechanism for outstanding contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams, including Acquisitions, Market Intelligence, & Inspection as well as external teams including New Truck Pricing, New Truck Sales, DTFS, Customers and Dealers.
  • Continuous Improvement : Automation of pricing files and development of dashboards for transparency and in support of decision making.
  • Projects : Support DTR's digital transformation and cross functional projects.
  • Compliance : Ensure internal control compliance through oversight and execution on pricing, quotation approvals, and contracts.
Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Business Administration or similar field and 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of Freightliner and Western Star products along with fundamental understanding of specifications within.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent MS Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • MBA
  • Experience in writing SQL
  • Project Management skills
