SUMMARY

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the incumbent works towards achieving customer excellence by traveling to customer locations to address any field repairs (Turf Field) and performing routine maintenance in accordance with company policies and procedures.

The Field Service Technician works closely with the regional customer coordinator, who provides support by planning the technician's schedule. This position requires traveling in the New England Region.

More specifically, you will have to:

  1. Travel to customer locations to address maintenance service and repair needs for turf fields.
  2. Diagnose field problems and relay the information to the Customer Service and Field Service coordinators, who will contact the customer.
  3. Expedite customer problems and complaints to the CSR and team within 24 hours to maximize satisfaction.
  4. Aim to address repairs within 7 days of notification.
  5. Troubleshoot and repair various issues that may arise.
  6. Maintain constant contact and communication with the Customer Service Coordinator, Field Care Coordinator, Field Service Manager, and Regional Sales Associate.
  7. Attend Weekly WIP Calls.
  8. Educate customers on proper field practices for maintenance and how to properly use their field equipment.
  9. Exhibit good communication and interpersonal skills when working with customers and a team.
  10. Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes.
  11. Coordinate sales efforts with regional customers.
  12. Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services provided, transmitting said reports to the CSR within 5 days.
  13. Build and maintain relationships with customers.
  14. Effectively manage time.
  15. Provide a detailed log of work done when not linked to a repair or maintenance job.
  16. Present, promote, and sell field maintenance and maintenance equipment to existing and prospective customers.
  17. Keep company equipment operating and perform appropriate maintenance and repairs to equipment.
  18. Maintain a log of all equipment and equipment repair activity.
  19. Maintain supplies.
  20. Effectively demonstrate the ability to use Outlook, Concur, and Field Service Lightning apps.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline; minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience is an asset.

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Proficient with computers and intermediate level of MS Office Suite; SharePoint.
