Our environmental group is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager in our Woburn, MA office. This role is a unique opportunity to partner with senior technical experts to drive solutions for our government, industrial, commercial development and energy clients. You will work on a variety of Brownfields redevelopment, utility infrastructure, public facility, and contaminated site cleanup projects while developing and growing a client base.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage a variety of environmental projects with varying levels of complexity and size.
  • Support existing and new clients including participating in targeted marketing and business development efforts, proposal preparation, and networking.
  • Cross-sell GEI’s other core business areas (e.g., permitting, water resources, ecological services, and engineering).
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage on-site field staff during the implementation phase of investigation and design projects and act as the primary point of contact in discussions with clients and contractors.
  • Provide technical direction and training to staff, as necessary to complete assignments.
  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop junior staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience working on environmental investigation and remediation projects.
  • Seller-doer with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to build client relationships.
  • Professional registration (e.g., P.E., LSP, P.G., etc.) in area of expertise.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
  • Ability to travel for site visits / inspections, client meetings, and business development opportunities (to include overnight travel, as needed).
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
