We are looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to design and implement automated control systems. The ideal candidate should have experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and control technologies in industrial automation. Familiarity with VFD installation and programming is preferred. The role involves dynamic machine programming to adjust operations based on available power or preset programs, aiming to optimize energy usage and system efficiency. Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise are essential for improving efficiency, productivity, and safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Control System Design: Develop and implement control systems, including PLC programs, HMIs, and SCADA, ensuring smooth equipment operation.
  • Automation Integration: Integrate automation systems to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Dynamic Programming: Program machines to adjust operations based on available power or preset programs.
  • VFD Installation: Install and program VFDs for optimized power usage (preferred).
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve control system issues to minimize disruptions.
  • System Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance and upgrades to optimize performance.
  • Project Management: Manage automation projects from concept to completion.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to develop custom control solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure systems comply with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering (Master’s or certifications a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in controls engineering or automation.
  • Proficiency with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.).
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and VFD programming (preferred).


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with robotics and industry-specific control systems.
  • Certification in control system engineering (ISA or similar).
