Chronos Consulting’s client is a B2B Powertrain Testing Services providing a wide range of cutting-edge services to support the latest requirements for engine performance testing. We are seeking a strong leader to provide direction and strategy for the engineering group of 50 to simulate, model, design, and test state-of-the-art engines and power systems. You will collaborate and direct new advancements in modular hardware, software, and technology.
The Role:
- Analyze operations and business development activities to include company performance, staffing, program improvements, and policy changes.
- Oversee Engineers, technology and operations groups, and administer the staffing to maximize utilization, revenue, and profit.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to develop new and upgraded programs, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Drive profitability of the business, and manage the P&L, budget, and financial forecasting.
- Direct, plan, and implement policies, objectives, and activities to maximize return of investments and cost reductions.
- Lead Continuous Improvements to increase productivity, quality, and control of operational costs.
- Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape in the target market; continually source opportunities for new expansion and updates on industry developments and standards.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with testing and software management experience (3-5 years in a testing and software environment), coupled with 10+ years of business leadership.
- Proven track record in managing a P&L with both business and financial acumen to achieve target KPIs.
- Exposure and understanding of data acquisition systems, data analysis, and processing.
- Collaborative business style to work within a matrix environment.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, contract documentation, and government/industry standards and specifications.
- Coaching, developing teams, and driving leadership and change management.
- Ensuring the highest level of Health & Safety.
