Trademark Paralegal

A well-established AmLaw firm in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal to join their Intellectual Property team. This is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing team. This role requires at least 3 days of onsite presence in the Irvine office.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and filing U.S. and global applications for trademark registration as well as ancillary prosecution and post-registration maintenance filings.
• Corresponding with clients and foreign associates regarding trademark prosecution and maintenance.
• Reviewing watch notices for conflicts with clients’ trademark, conducting investigations regarding ownership and use, and tracking all outstanding matters.
• Performing trademark clearance searches.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of trademark experience with both domestic and foreign trademark portfolios.
• Paralegal Certificate is strongly preferred.
• Extensive experience communicating with clients, foreign associates and third parties, both orally and in writing
• Familiarity with USPTO, EUIPO, WIPO, and other foreign trademark databases and online filing portals

The compensation package for this position includes a base salary of $95,000 – $105,000, comprehensive health benefits, 10 vacation days, 10 sick days, and more.
