Job Summary
As a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will be responsible for providing therapy to patients based on their needs and medical direction. In addition to therapy, you will provide patient/caregiver education, arrange for adaptive equipment as needed, and participate in process improvement and program development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluation procedures to assess the level of disability and develop a plan of treatment
- Provide a treatment program and education to restore and maximize patient function
- Document evaluation and treatment of each patient in compliance with department standards
- Provide training to other rehabilitation staff, medical personnel, and students
- Participate in ongoing process improvement and program development activities
- Demonstrate productivity as indicated by department standards
- Improve skill areas by applying continuing education and developing new concepts of patient care
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited physical therapy program
- Preferred Master's Degree
- 6 months of relevant experience preferred
- LIC-Physical Therapist - State of Michigan required
- LIC-Driver's License - State of Michigan required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC required
