Job Summary

As a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will be responsible for providing therapy to patients based on their needs and medical direction. In addition to therapy, you will provide patient/caregiver education, arrange for adaptive equipment as needed, and participate in process improvement and program development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluation procedures to assess the level of disability and develop a plan of treatment
  • Provide a treatment program and education to restore and maximize patient function
  • Document evaluation and treatment of each patient in compliance with department standards
  • Provide training to other rehabilitation staff, medical personnel, and students
  • Participate in ongoing process improvement and program development activities
  • Demonstrate productivity as indicated by department standards
  • Improve skill areas by applying continuing education and developing new concepts of patient care

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited physical therapy program
  • Preferred Master's Degree
  • 6 months of relevant experience preferred
  • LIC-Physical Therapist - State of Michigan required
  • LIC-Driver's License - State of Michigan required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC required

  • Days Worked: Monday - Friday
  • Weekend Frequency: Every fourth weekend
