South Seattle College is looking to hire a Ticketing Specialist in the Business & Budgeting Office.

Salary Range for this position is $48,024.00 to $61,296.00 annually, depending on experience.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Associate Director and Director of the Business Office, the Ticketing Specialist will be responsible for processing fiscal transactions within Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The position's primary responsibilities include:

  • Processing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions.
  • Reconciling enterprise services daily activity.
  • Drafting journal entries (Inter-Department Charges).
  • Administering quarterly part-time faculty contracts.

Secondary responsibilities involve supporting purchasing cards, travel compliance, and analysis of the State budgeted accounts.

Work Modality: This is an in-person, on-campus position working Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm. Vacation request approvals may be limited during the fiscal year-end between the months of June and August.

This position is governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with representation by WFSE and subject to union shop provisions.

What you will be working on:

  • Performs fiscal duties such as financial report analysis; accounts payable-receivable discrepancy resolution.
  • Drafts journal entries to correct discrepancies.
  • Reviews enterprise services daily receipts and processes daily batch reconciliation.
  • Processes Accounts Receivable transactions and records deposits to match Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) records.
  • Facilitates the Accounts Payable cycle by performing review and approval of transactions.
  • Supports the processing of part-time faculty contracts.
  • Supports the Business Office role in administering the purchasing card program.
  • Supports travel-related compliance with Office of Fiscal Management and Seattle Colleges policies.
  • Supports analysis of the State budgeted accounts and data entry into the ERP system.
  • Responds to HelpDesk tickets as assigned.

What you bring as a candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree, which includes course completion in accounting, auditing, or budgeting AND one or more years of relevant professional experience.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for education.
