Job Overview:

As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of our customer orders, from shipments and deliveries to custom clearing. You'll work with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistical operations, resolve shipping issues, maintain accurate records, and monitor transportation costs. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a keen eye for detail. You'll gain practical experience in supply chain management, problem-solving, and data analysis while learning to optimize transportation processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate effectively with teams and suppliers. You'll also develop skills in cost management and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of logistics operations, including shipments, deliveries, and storage.
  • Communicate with suppliers, forwarders, customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve logistical issues.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, such as invoices, and packing lists.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments and deliveries.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cost-effective transportation strategies.
  • Monitor and track transportation costs, providing reports on key metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Assist in handling customer inquiries and resolving any delivery-related issues.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

- Proven experience as an Logistic Specialist or in a similar role.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and other relevant software.

- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Familiarity with operational policies and procedures is an advantage.

Compensation:

Starting salary of $45,000 DOE.

$5,000 bonus after the successful completion of a 90-day probation period.
