Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position
This position is responsible for independently providing consultation, program administration, expertise and high-level management & coordination of post-award financial operations for College of Engineering (COE) faculty in their ongoing efforts to execute external grants - including providing contractual and budgetary services to Principal Investigators (PIs) for awarded grants, contracts and agreements.
This position plans, analyzes and organizes daily activities, manages data, and processes various employment documents (ISAFs, EPAF, etc.) as submitted by grant PIs and department chairs, to the Dean's Office.
This position confers and collaborates with the Division of Research and Economic Development (DORED) to ensure budgets and expenditures are within guidelines of the appropriate funding agencies' policies and regulations, and the COE.
This position collaborates with COE team members to optimize College award-related processes and procedures; and manages an electronic filing system of documents prepared for PIs.
This position provides PIs with monthly grants/contracts budget statements to assist them in managing their spending rates.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or and equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
A minimum of 4 years of experience relevant to the responsibilities of the position;
  • Evidence of grant budgeting preparation and detail-oriented;
  • Proficient in Banner, university financial systems and e-mail;
  • Excellent organization skills, including the ability to manage a variety of tasks and set priorities
  • General knowledge of grant processes and agency requirements
  • Prefer Certified Research Administration certification training and/or certification credentials
