R&D Manager

Our client in Acton is looking for an R&D Manager to join their team on a direct hire basis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the R&D team.
• You will be responsible for developing new and innovative products for New Markets.
• Core Process Research: Develop novel coating and curing technologies for product development, process efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Commercializing new products to meet customer needs starts with the lab prototype, goes through production, and finally includes customer value-adding steps.
• Work with extrusion, coatings, laminations, and textile development processes.

Experience:

• Understanding of chemical compounds, polymer compounds, coatings, adhesives, and textile finishes.
• 3+ years working in a leadership role.
• 10+ years working in a fast pace manufacturing environment.
• Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Textiles, Chemical or Plastics engineering
• Ability to mentor team members with strong supervision skills required.
