Job Purpose: Facilitate Alpine Learning Group's after school social skills programs.

Job Requirements/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Be of good moral character
  • Ability to successfully complete the Alpine Learning Group training program
  • Good problem solving, organizational, oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with technology (e.g., tablets, computers, Word, Excel, and electronic data collection software)
  • Competence with behavior schedules and treatment modalities
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals and needs
  • Ability to implement and monitor treatment plans
  • Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues during multiply-staffed sessions
  • Maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities:

Learners:

  • Implement behavioral strategies individualized to each learner and within their group.
  • Implement motivation systems for each learner and/or group.
  • Record data according to the provided data sheets.
  • Graph data on paper or electronically as assigned.
  • Complete brief summary of learner performance for caregivers at the end of each session.
  • Assist in identifying goals and targets for learners.
  • Verify/sign scheduled appointments in a timely manner.

Environment:

  • Manage and organize education and teaching materials specific to the assigned group.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment within the classroom and school-wide.

General:

  • Demonstrates professional behavior (e.g., timeliness and professional attire)
  • Participates in scheduled staff meetings and trainings pertaining to social skills groups
  • Responds and reports emergencies in accordance with Alpine Learning Group's policies and procedures
  • Performs additional duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications/Certificates:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience working with children or adolescents
  • Experience providing ABA therapy to children with autism in a school or home environment
  • RBT/Registered Behavior Technician certificate

Clearances: Compliance with Federal and State Personnel Code requirements, including, but not limited to Mantoux TB test, Criminal History Review, Citizenship status and P.L. 2018, c.5 if hired after June 1, 2018.

Reports to: Social Skills Clinical Coordinator and Director for Alpine's Center for Autism

Working Environment/Physical Demands: Some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling, fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires sitting, walking, and standing. The employee must have the strength and agility to assist with movement of learners during crisis intervention.

Schedule: Part-time, 3-12hrs/week after school 3:30 - 6:30 pm Monday through Friday

Salary: $19.50-$24/hour
