The Warehousing Modernization team is currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to lead the development efforts for modernizing Publix legacy warehousing systems. This key role involves leading initiatives to modernize warehousing processes like Invoicing, Store Order Processing, integrating with other Warehousing Systems, and Reporting that currently supports our expanding distribution network, encompassing 9 Distribution Centers and 33 warehouses dedicated to servicing over 1200 retail stores.
Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to develop and implement systems using various coding languages, methods, tools, and utilities.
- Oversee full systems development life cycle (SDLC), as well as coding, debugging, documenting, and configuring packages.
- Approve design of technical solutions while collaborating with architects, engineers, other technical resources, and business areas.
- Serve as a liaison between business subject matter experts (SME) and technical teams to translate business requests into project system requirements.
- Document business and technical requirements using Microsoft Office 365 technologies (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
- Analyze and translate business requirements into technology solutions that consider system architecture, performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, and scalability.
- Perform problem determination and resolution for complex problems; analyzing root cause by researching current application code, then designing, coding, and testing a solution.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices and standards for various platforms.
- Perform data analysis by creating and executing complex queries, interpreting results, and communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other analytical disciplines or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience analyzing supply chain business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions.
- 5+ years of experience working with enterprise database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Informix, Teradata).
- 5+ years designing enterprise class solutions using object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, UML, service-oriented architecture, and solution frameworks.
- 5+ years full-stack web development experience with the .NET Core (or at least .NET framework 4.0 or above) including C#, MVC, Web API, and Microsoft Entity Framework or other open source ORMs.
- 5+ years of experience with one or more of the following: Angular, HTML, DHTML, CSS, TypeScript, and RESTful Web API.
- 3+ years of experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
- 3+ years of experience creating CI/CD pipelines for deploying and supporting microservices.
- 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps for managing project tasks, managing code repositories, and creating pipelines for deployments and CI/CD builds.
- After hours support is required.
- 3+ years of experience working for large companies and within a matrix organization.
- 4+ years of experience in implementing enterprise applications using platform services like Azure App service, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, notification hubs, event hubs, stream analytics, Cosmos DB, Redis Cache, application insights etc.
- 5+ years of full-stack web development experience with the .NET framework, C#, Angular or Python with a passion for and knowledge of emerging technologies.
- 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft’s SSIS and SSRS applications.
- 7+ years of experience leading enterprise implementation project solutions.
- 5+ years of experience supporting data and process governance of distribution system compliance in accordance with company policies, standards, and SOX requirements.
- 5+ years of experience working with cloud solution architecture patterns and design principles, of different attributes for cloud application availability and scalability, and the ability to propose optimized design for cloud.
- 5+ years of experience with Azure Cloud Testing, PaaS, and Cloud Computing.
