This is an onsite position at our facility in Burbank, CA
Position Summary :
Contribute to the development of HR strategies in support of the Midnight Oil strategic business plan. Working closely with the Leadership Team, increasing employee engagement, and successfully managing all areas of responsibility related to employee relations, supporting employee development, onboarding of new hires, and general HR duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Successfully drive key HR processes including Performance Management, Career Development, Talent Planning, Training, and more, and use these activities as a platform for further influencing and enabling positive change within the organization.
- Understand the business plans and guide organization and job design to meet the business needs.
- Drive the strategy for acquiring new sets of skills and capabilities.
- Identifying, evaluating, and solving hiring challenges. Participating in the recruiting and onboarding of talent.
- Engage with leaders and employees to help shape the desired culture, be the Employee Champion for the facility.
- Proactively identify major people and organizational issues and build effective, scalable, and lasting solutions.
- Partner and consult with managers on a frequent basis, to identify and assess human resource needs and identify opportunities for improving employee and organizational performance.
- Provide coaching to business leaders on complex employee relations issues.
- Partner with other Regional HR Leaders and Centers of Excellence to develop policies, programs and tools to enhance organizational capability and implement within the locations. Provide timely feedback on effectiveness and value to the business.
- Lead talent planning initiatives. Work with location management to identify internal high-potential talent and drive delivery of local development programs. Support business unit talent reviews and succession planning.
- Design and implement retention strategies focusing on key leaders and individuals with core competencies or skills critical to the organization.
- Implement total reward programs within the unit to drive the achievement of and support business goals.
- Develop initiatives for local engagement and partnerships with universities and associations to best enhance creativity, learning, and development for the location.
- Implement key human resource metrics to measure the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, dashboard development.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications of Position
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources or related field from an accredited university.
- 7-10 years of Human Resource management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations issues escalating to Plant Management when necessary.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with proven experience in strategy development and critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Proven experience using continuous improvement techniques (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
Preferred Qualifications of Position
- Bi-lingual English Spanish strongly preferred.
- Master’s Degree.
- HR certification.
- Ability to interface with cross-functional HR teams and all levels of management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated).
The national pay range for this role is $150,000- $175,000 per year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
