Sheboygan Auto Group is looking for an experienced Fixed Operations Director to join our growing team. As the Fixed Operations Director , you will be responsible for overseeing your department while optimizing processes to capitalize on the business coming to our dealership. In this role, you will be tasked with coaching, developing, and leading your team of Service Advisors and Technicians, along with your Drive Manager, to help our dealership grow our business while maintaining high customer satisfaction scores. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success and play a critical role in enhancing the customer purchase experience and maximizing revenue opportunities while managing expenses.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, develop, and motivate the service department staff and monitor their performance.
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and ensure they are met.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for the service department and keep dealership management informed of variances.
  • Ensure that the service department meets all customer satisfaction and financial goals.
  • Ensure proper repair techniques are being used.
  • Schedule training as necessary to properly repair and service vehicles.
  • Stay up to date on product changes and new products.
  • Ensure that all necessary shop equipment is in proper and safe working condition.
  • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service department operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of dealership operations experience, preferably working as a Service Manager or Fixed Operations Director. Service Advisor experience is a plus.
  • Proven leadership ability to mentor and train others.
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills when working with customers, team members, and automotive colleagues.
  • Competitive and self-motivated attitude with eagerness to improve.
  • Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Office, DMS, etc.
  • Professional appearance, demeanor, and work ethic.
  • Valid, current Driver's License with an acceptable MVR that meets requirements for insurability.
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background, credit check, and drug screen.
