SAIC is seeking an experienced individual to join SAIC’s team, in support of the U.S. Southern Command’s Cyber IT Enterprise Services (SCITES), to help provide our Nation for contingency planning, operations, and security operations to Central America, South America, and the Caribbean areas.

The candidate selected for this position shall:

  • Serve as a team leader for support tasks involving engineering development, integration, interface design analysis, integration of infrastructure, and testing of software and hardware.
  • Perform system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, software, operating systems, and other platform specifications to meet project requirements while maintaining interoperability with existing legacy systems.
  • Plan large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and trade/cost studies.
  • Be directly responsible for daily customer coordination, communications, and reporting.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of briefing senior command military and civilian leadership.
  • Oversee multiple technical task leads ensuring system/security operational capabilities, availability, and compliance.
  • Maintain and manage the client interface at senior levels of the client organization.
  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Champion the integration of industry best practices and innovation to improve operational performance, availability, capacity, and cost efficiency.
  • Identify trends, determine system improvements, and implement changes to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS with 9 years or equivalent experience.
  • TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • DoD 8570 certification (minimum Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III).
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
  • A minimum of five years of experience supporting global network systems and subsystems; troubleshooting a wide range of Local Area Network (LAN), Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), WAN, and network/service availability; and making recommendations for system fixes and enhancements.
  • A minimum of five years of experience leading teams of network operations/engineering staff with skills applicable to a program environment.
  • A minimum of three years planning and executing local and long-haul communications.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience with risk management and making recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operation costs.
  • A minimum of three years working experience supporting and troubleshooting firewall appliances and rulesets and working with firewall solutions.
