First Brands Group is hiring a Maintenance Manager (Availability to travel 75%) to work in site for our group. (It can be located in McHenry, IL / Dallas, TX /Kansas City, KS)
The Maintenance Manager:
The Network Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance operations across multiple facilities within the designated region. This role involves extensive travel to various sites, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to high standards, operational efficiency is maximized, and cost-saving projects are implemented effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance management, project management, and cost optimization.
Principal activities
- Oversee maintenance operations across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Supervise and support on-site maintenance teams, providing technical guidance and training as needed.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the maintenance operations.
- Develop and manage budgets for maintenance projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
- Lead maintenance-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget execution.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project goals are met.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CMRP, PMP) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a multi-site environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing maintenance teams and projects.
- Experience with cost-saving initiatives and budget management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- The role involves significant travel to various facilities within the region.
