Hospital Risk Manager
Located in the Indian Valley a short distance from Las Vegas, Bakersfield, Los Angeles, and 3 National Parks!
Our client is a financially successful, community hospital and dynamic regional healthcare provider that is quickly evolving to meet the needs of its service area.
They are looking for a Risk Manager to help take the department to a new level of service.
Responsible for development, planning, coordination and administration of a systematic program designed to reduce risk and injury. Manages the identification, analysis and assessment of loss potential throughout the facility. Identifies legal risks related to professional and comprehensive general liability for the prevention and control of losses due to these legal risks. Analyzes, evaluates and communicates patterns and trends of professional and comprehensive general liability claims experience to the administrative and medical staff. Makes recommendations concerning facility operation to reduce exposure to liability and insurance claims.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; medical background necessary.
- Computer proficiency necessary; familiarity with Midas+ preferred.
- Knowledge of medical record components and medical terminology preferred.
- Knowledge of Accreditation, DHS, and COP regulations necessary.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrates strong interaction and communication skills. Must be a team player and understand team dynamics.
- Strong command of the English language - oral and written.
- Willing to work towards CPHRM certification; CPHRM preferred.
