Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is looking for Registered Nurses to join the Emergency Department team!

Pay & Benefits:

  • Compensation: $42.08 to $69.71 hourly wage based on experience and education
  • Retention Bonus: $15,000 -$12,000 Retention Bonus (DOE)

Shifts Available:

You will work (1) 12 hr shift on floor per week. Remaining hours in office. Hours are flexible but must be consistent and overlap dayshift manager.

Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is a non-profit facility owned by the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation. A Joint Commission-accredited facility with 152 licensed beds, Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is the primary referral center for residents of Alaska's interior.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the operations of the unit to ensure smooth and efficient patient care management.
  • Manages the unit to ensure patient and employee satisfaction while promoting safety and retention.
  • Coordinates quality initiatives and process improvements.
  • Develops leadership skills among staff including communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and employee engagement.
  • Facilitates unit meetings and shared governance / leadership efforts.
  • Responsible for selection, orientation, on-boarding, and retention.
  • Assists in the development of the operational and capital budget.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

Qualifications:

Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of nursing and healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires a current RN license in state of practice. BLS Required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

Must possess at least 1-2 years of clinical experience relevant to patient population. Requires critical thinking, communication, influence, decision-making, analytical, and flexibility skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
