What you will doRole Overview:
The Service & Materials Associate is responsible for negotiating and writing vendor contracts for services including the development, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of wind farms.
Main responsibilities:Create, implement, and manage a competitive bid process for all services and materials required by EDPR NA
Assist Services & Materials Procurement Manager with the development of contracting strategies and processes for tendering Requests for Proposals (RFPs), reviewing and leveling vendor proposals, and negotiating contracts that result in the best value possible
Serve as liaison between the Procurement, Development, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, and Asset Management departments
Develop and manage purchasing plans and strategies relating to development, construction, and operation of the company's wind farms
Manage relationships and interfaces with suppliers during the RFP process
Maintain responsibility for bid evaluations, commercial and contractual negotiations, and contract approval prior to contract finalization
Assist with the creation and documentation of a competitive bid process that can be used at all levels of the organization
Assist with the contract awards process and presentation of award recommendations to management
Assist with the training of personnel in negotiations and contract management
Assist with the development of standardized processes and templates for all contracting efforts
Manage documentation, contracts, budgets, schedules, engineering and construction interfaces, project controls, project correspondence, and project reporting
Organize and prepare agendas for meetings between suppliers and Procurement personnel
Issue and administer purchase orders to vendors and ensures receipt of acceptance copy to complete the contract
Maintain effective communication with all team members
Participate in the engineering, design, and construction review process

What are we looking forMinimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of related technical, engineering, construction management, or industry manufacturing experience, including experience negotiating contracts for equipment and services
- Experience with contract management and procurement preferred
- Thorough knowledge of the competitive bid process for construction, engineering, and operations services and of negotiation techniques
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and familiarity with e-enabled supply chain systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner
