Summary Description: The Licensed Mental Health Professional will provide treatment within the Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program to children/youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) and their families/caregivers. Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, record maintenance, and collaboration with the team in a trauma-informed, culturally competent manner. The program is mobile, and sessions occur in the home and community.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of service and clinical needs.
  2. Develop treatment plans collaboratively with children, families, and care teams.
  3. Communicate progress with schools and community providers.
  4. Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely case records and documentation.
  6. Participate in team meetings, consultations, and supervision sessions.
  7. Be flexible with working hours as required.
  8. Practice with a person-centered, trauma-informed approach in alignment with the agency's mission.
Requirements:
  1. Licensure by the New York State Education Department as Licensed Clinical/ Master Social Worker (LCSW/LMSW)
  2. Basic computer knowledge.
  3. Reliability, independence, and confidentiality awareness.
  4. Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
  5. Must maintain New York State Defensive Driving certification within 30 days of hire.
  6. Must maintain pre-employment clearances by applicable regulatory clearances as required.
  7. Legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Special Considerations : This position requires flexibility with working hours and may involve 24-hour crisis intervention rotation.

  • Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000, based on departmental budget, qualifications, experience, education, and licenses. This range represents the agency's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
