Passionate about technology? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Director of Technical Solutions to join us in producing solutions as we bring next-generation connectivity to our customers across the country.

What you’ll be doing

The Director of Technical Solutions will serve as a key member of the Technical Solutions team responsible for the continual development of profitable wireless network infrastructure solutions. As a director in this organization, there may be an opportunity to serve in a supervisory capacity, managing a small team of direct reports. In addition, this position will require minimal to moderate business travel in order to perform certain essential responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Create partnerships and alliances with venues, OEMs, and integrators utilizing consultative and solutions-based sales strategies to help achieve sales targets.
  2. Support Sales team with technical responses to RFPs, RFQs, and/or RFIs.
  3. Provide superior level of pre-sales technical support for Wi-Fi packages, supporting more than 20 active projects. Provide solutions support for large portfolios.
  4. Liaise with internal and external customers to collaborate on product development, design implementation, technology assessments, strategy presentations, pricing/cost structures.
  5. Accelerate deal flow by establishing and managing project scope, design requirements, vendor selection, and integrator/OEM deliverables.
  6. Provide sales support for multi-lateral sales team; assist in qualifying leads, identifying technical competitive advantages/differentiators, building relationships, and closing sales.
  7. Coordinate with Venue to acquire and review venue solution requirements, incumbent Wi-Fi service details, and floor plans.
  8. Assist Deployment in establishment of Engineering budget for venue projects. Support Finance in financial analyses of different Solution options.
  9. Solicit and manage Benchmark data collection, provide analysis and summary reports of results.
  10. Coordinate site design walks with Venue. Conduct internal and external solution design reviews with Deployment and Venue. Manage the overall design progress and provide final approval of design and solution.
  11. Coordinate with Deployment and Finance through design and pricing revisions and work with network architecture team on solution approval.
  12. Provide other supporting documentation to Sales such as Technical Lease Exhibits and equipment specifications.
  13. Develop and refine Solutions and Engineering processes and standards.
  14. Coach and mentor sales representatives on technical products, research and design concepts. Provide product information, demonstrations and presentations for all sales venue products.
  15. Manage complex, multi-dimensional projects that encompass numerous types of technical solutions.
  16. Engage with OEMs in evaluating emerging technologies and their impact on existing and future portfolios.

What you’ll bring

  1. Bachelor’s Degree required from accredited university. CIS/MIS, Computer Science preferred.
  2. Minimum of 10 years' experience in TCP/IP network engineering, design and development, with an emphasis on selling into various markets. Minimum of 5 years Wi-Fi experience required.
  3. Superior organizational skills with a strong initiative to lead customer sales presentations with consistent follow through until deal close.
  4. Excellent closing skills with the innate ability to overcome objections and obstacles throughout the sales process.
  5. Completed solution design experience with at least 2 different OEM’s (Cisco, Extreme Networks, Aruba, or Ruckus preferred).
  6. Demonstrated design experience with a wide variety of solutions such as DHCP, DNS, routing protocols, structured cabling, and network applications.
  7. Demonstrated ability to determine cable routing pathways and challenges affecting physical cabling and equipment installations.
  8. Demonstrated solution design experience with stadiums, arenas, performing arts venues, casinos/hospitality, transportation, commercial and residential high rises, and retail locations.
  9. Experience with TCP/IP networking and Wi-Fi solutions deployment and integration preferred.
  10. Strong account relationship skills, creative, driven & self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and with a team.
  11. Skilled negotiator including the ability to take direction or resolve issues independently.
  12. Innate ability to prioritize, qualify and manage business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
  13. Travel required up to 40% domestically.
