Overview of Responsibilities: Serves as a liaison between IT and various stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of business requirements related to business banking systems. Promotes and facilitates communication and collaboration with IT team and MSGCU team members to maximize efficient and effective use of information technology, ensuring integrity and security of data, and that the identified solutions are in alignment with the strategic direction of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Researches, gathers and analyzes data to create detailed descriptions of user needs, program functionality, and the steps required to develop, modify, and implement application changes in support of core organizational functions and business processes.
  • Ensures system requirements are defined, addressed, and in alignment with organizational objectives. Assists Technical Business Analysts with translating requirements into functional specifications, conversions, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows.
  • Assists the Technical Business Analysts in the analysis and design of application interfaces that interact with the core processing system.
  • Consults stakeholders to define and execute test scenarios for proper end-user testing, ensuring validation of system functionality and resolves outstanding issues before implementation Participates in stakeholder meetings to ensure project execution is prioritized according to defined deadlines and within established requirements.
  • Collaborates with users to understand business needs, solicit feedback, and engage in discussions regarding system changes and new functionality. Offers suggestions, enhancements, and alternative approaches, bringing forward valuable insights and proposing thoughts that may not have been considered.
  • Investigates and resolves system problems, ensuring prompt resolution without significant interruption to member service. Keeps stakeholders and IS Manager informed on status and progress of resolution.
  • Identifies technology opportunities and contributes to driving continuous improvements, operational efficiencies, and improved business performance with a focus on long-term implications.
  • Ensures that the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and security of enterprise data on multiple databases in accordance to business needs and industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Keeps up-to-date with changing trends and regulations within technology and financial information industry.

Essential Preparation and Experience:

  • Associate degree in a Computer Science or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience; and

  • 2 years of related experience, with exposure to different business areas to gain the necessary background to support product and system development, preferably within a financial institution.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and concepts preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary begins at $55,000 / year

  • If you are at least 21 years old, you will receive a 3% contribution from MSGCU, and a 100% match for the next 7% you contribute to your 401(k)
  • You will enjoy 12 paid holidays and up to 120 hours of PTO your first year of service (pro-rated based on start date)

Working Conditions:

  • Office and branch location environment with little discomfort from noise, extreme temperature, dust, or other factors.
  • Occasionally required to travel throughout MSGCU's service area as business needs require.
  • Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, such as robbery. Receives detailed instructions and security procedures on an annual basis to minimize risk.
  • This work involves sitting most of the time with brief periods of walking or standing and may occasionally require lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
  • Normal working hours will be MSGCU's standard branch and administrative office hours of operation, however, occasional after hours work and the flexibility to be on call before/after normal work hours, including weekends and holidays, is required.
