A law firm is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Boston, MA office. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of specialized experience in intellectual property litigation and a strong grasp of IP laws. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage complex legal matters, conduct thorough research, and collaborate effectively with clients, experts, and senior attorneys to develop and execute case strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct legal research and analysis on intellectual property laws, regulations, and precedents.
  2. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  3. Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses.
  4. Participate in the development of case strategies and provide recommendations to senior attorneys.
  5. Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
  6. Collaborate with clients, experts, and other team members to gather and analyze evidence.
  7. Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  8. Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends in intellectual property litigation.

Requirements:

  1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
  3. 2-3 years of demonstrated expertise in intellectual property litigation, preferably within a large law firm environment.
  4. Strong knowledge of intellectual property laws, including patents.
  5. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  6. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear and concise recommendations to senior attorneys and clients.
  7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  10. Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field is a plus.
