Power Originator

Partnered with a global Energy Development & Trading Company that is looking to bring on a Senior Originator to structure long term deals , PPA's and help provide commercial / trading opportunity to the team.

This position is located in Houston, TX and reports to the Origination Director.

Responsibilities:

• Create valuable transaction opportunities for the business by generating new customer acquisitions
• Negotiate various contractual agreements inclusive of PPA's and structured trades
• Represent the business at conferences, client events and presentations
• Succeed in a team based environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics or similar discipline (or equivalent through experience) is preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in North American markets
• Excellent commercial skills
• Proven ability to develop and expand valuable relationships with energy clients
• Strong knowledge of structured power products (options; PPAs; load following) for the North American wholesale markets
• Talent for deal structuring and managing a deal process
