We are seeking a growth-oriented engineer to serve as our Highway (Civil) Department Manager. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the growth of the department, focusing on project execution and supporting Project Managers on a variety of transportation projects. This individual will collaborate closely with clients and project teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure seamless delivery and high client satisfaction.

This individual will collaborate closely with clients and project teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure seamless delivery and high client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in Highway Design REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's may substitute for 2 years of experience)
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in New Jersey (New York State license is beneficial)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Exhibit strong engineering judgment while striving for quality and financial excellence
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of NJDOT and NJTA processes and procedures
- Mentor and train design staff to foster professional development
- Collaborate with regional and office leadership to advise on project approach, scope, cost, and schedule
- Identify opportunities for innovative solutions and strategic partnerships
- Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to assess needs and address design/permitting issues
