Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Fulltime position with a client located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Salary Range: $70,000 to $75,000/ Year(The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify opportunities for preventing waste and inefficiency during production.
- Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing, and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.
- Build prototypes, evaluate performance, identify issues, and make improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insights and direction. Estimates production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Confers with engineering, and other departments regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering
- 2-3 years of experience in engineering (aerospace a huge plus! even more specifically with safety belts/harnesses/seatbelts/seat integration)
- In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Hands-on experience building small prototypes.
- Ability to collaborate with program managers, manufacturing leads, customers, and functional leads.
- Advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AutoCAD a plus
