The Position

As a member of our Airlines Liaison Team (ALT), you'll represent the airlines in their relationship with the airport on a broad range of technical, strategic and operational issues. You will interact with clients and stakeholders to ensure we deliver high-quality personal interactions and written documentation required for project(s). The Airlines and the City of Atlanta Department of Aviation rely on our work product to ensure that project scope, schedule, and budget are closely monitored, reported, and coordinated. Commercial aviation experience is required, please and thank you.


Speaking of please...please be good at:

  • Collaborating with City’s Project Management Office (ATLNext) and other stakeholders to confirm project(s) are within scope, schedule and budget.
  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of scope, schedule and budget information, including consultation on proposed changes and ensuring proper management of contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Monitoring project construction, reporting on progress as well as issues/concerns that may impact project scope, schedule or budget; performing field visits, inspections, and reviews during work hours and at times overnight.
  • Interfacing with airline personnel and other stakeholders on operational impacts, including representing airlines’ issues and advising airlines of upcoming construction activities.
  • Challenging project assumptions, constructability, and technical aspects through concept, planning, design, construction, and implementation.
  • Participating in regularly scheduled coordination, reporting, and strategy meetings; generating, publishing, coordinating, and maintaining executive-level summaries, charts, reports based on recommendations and specifications of airlines and/or impacted parties.
  • Working collaboratively with financial staff, verifying scope and funding are coordinated and linked and that any movement of scope or funding is properly tracked within the project.


What you've done so far:

  • Acquired a solid understanding of all phases of construction and project implementation on commercial aviation projects, large complex projects a big plus.
  • Gained a strong understanding of planning and budgeting for large capital programs.
  • Worked collaboratively with clients, contractors, architects, and other professionals.
  • Fine-tuned your analytical, problem solving, issue resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Developed impressive communication skills.
  • Mastered the art of relationship-building and motivating teams.


How you built the foundation:

  • 10+ years of experience mastering all the above.
  • BS in Aviation Management, Business, Construction Management.
  • PMP and LEED certified a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Adobe, BlueBeam.
  • Previous experience in the commercial aviation industry required.
