Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join a team of high-performing professionals in a fast-paced environment. As the CFO, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. This strategic leader will not only understand current accounting best practices but will also have experience raising capital and adapting to changing business needs. The CFO will be comfortable in a high-visibility role that requires clear and effective communication skills. You will drive the financial strategy, manage financial operations, and provide critical insights to support business growth and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a strong background in finance, particularly in the technology or cybersecurity sectors.
Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, aligning it with business objectives and growth plans and help drive the company's operational and financial strategy and accountability.
  • Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Evaluate and manage financial risks, ensuring the company's financial stability.
  • Develop and implement best practices to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, and workflows.
  • Partner with the Executive team to build overall business model and financial strategies that align with the Company's plans for growth and expansion.
  • Efficiently develop financial forecasts and operating plans on both a recurring and ad-hoc basis.
  • Direct the preparation of financial statements and reporting metrics.
  • Ensure compliance and audit guidelines are met timely.
  • Remain aware of new regulations and economic trends, analyze internal operations, establish critical measurements, and identify areas for process enhancement.
  • Perform risk management and evaluate and manage capital structure.
  • Monitor business performance with tracking tools (i.e., dashboards), establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for Board meetings. Ensure the selection, development, and retention of well-qualified team members and foster and maintain outstanding relationships with banks, investors, and Board of Directors.
  • Enhance, implement, and oversee financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
  • Evaluate various growth and strategic opportunities and present accurate and insightful financial information to aid in great decision-making.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior financial leadership roles, with at least 5 years in the technology or cybersecurity sectors.
  • Excellent leadership skills and enthusiastic problem-solving abilities.
  • High sense of integrity and ownership over work product.
  • Experience presenting to Boards and Executive level administrators.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions and investor relations.
  • Must be proficient with computer systems, including Microsoft Excel.
Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
