Summary of Job (brief description)
This role involves strategic planning, leadership and execution of field medical activities to ensure alignment with overall corporate goals. We are currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated, experienced individual for the position of Medical Managed Markets Liaison (MMML). The position reports to the Director - Medical Affairs, Managed Markets Strategy. This is a field-based position. The MMML will lead external facing interactions with payer medical teams to communicate clinical value of Soleno products. They will work with Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) groups within the US payer organizations and HEOR vendors to produce data that they will ultimately use in clinical/economic value story. The MMML will coordinate and collaborate with Medical Managed Markets Strategy to set the strategy for both internal company real world evidence & health economic outcomes research programs. They will provide specialist MMML scientific and operational input into core medical activities. Internally, the MMML will coordinate with Commercial/Market Access to ensure alignment between Medical Affairs and Commercial Strategy & Market Access for Soleno access plans. The MMML organization must ensure robust insights, high quality value evidence generation, payer- centric and timely RWE/HEOR data production, presentation generation, scientific exchange and impactful communication of the value of our products.
Responsibilities
  • Establish a respected presence for Soleno Therapeutics, while maintaining a high standard of integrity, in the medical managed markets community by fostering scientifically based external relationships with opinion leaders, health care decision makers, value assessors, research partners, etc.
  • Provide value to market access organizations and payers via health care economic and clinical information.
  • Contribute to the HEOR/RWE strategic direction in coordination with Medical Managed Markets Strategy.
  • Ensure payer insights' integration into the development of HEOR strategy to address gaps in Soleno plan, and to support the value proposition to payers of Soleno products in partnership with cross-functional colleagues.
  • Drive partnerships with payer organizations, HEOR groups and vendors to generate high value collaborative projects.
  • Lead cross-functional business critical projects, gather and address feedback from stakeholders; manage without authority to build Soleno Medical Managed Markets capabilities.
  • Be accountable for quality, strategic alignment, and compliance in all aspects of the team's operation.
  • Utilize substantive expertise to direct/oversee collaborations to produce HEOR/RWE deliverables that support Soleno product's value propositions and inform creation of customer facing materials.
  • Lead and contribute to the development of deliverables such as: AMCP dossiers, health economic models, and other tools that can support United States reimbursement and access requirements.
  • Adapt to various tasks and responsibilities as needed, beyond those explicitly outlined in the job description, to support the dynamic needs of the organization.
Qualifications
  • Professional or healthcare degree required. Education or training in HEOR or Pharmacoeconomics is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry; field medical or medical affairs experience considered a plus.
  • Experience in HEOR, clinical communications with payers, medical managed markets or related functions is required.
  • Experience in rare disease and is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of US Healthcare formulary management, financing, and delivery is required.
  • Experience in leading a team in a matrix environment is required.
  • Requires ability to facilitate alignment across multiple stakeholders with, at times, misaligned interests.
  • Requires a highly motivated, organized, self-starter with a demonstrated track record of leadership and achievement.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience in business planning, including development of budgets and adherence to performance targets.
  • Strong ethics and integrity are critical for the role.
  • Field based position - ability to travel to visit key stakeholders including payers, PBMs, specialty pharmacies, HEOR & RWE vendors and other health care professionals - up to 60% travel.

Salary Range: $200,000-$250,000
