The Role

The Sales Manager provides leadership, direction, and resource stewardship to the organization’s sales function. The Sales Manager is accountable for overall sales organization performance, the profitable achievement of sales organization goals, and for aligning sales objectives with firm business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales teams and maintain sales operations.
  • Conduct weekly sales team meetings and one-on-ones when extra guidance is needed.
  • Outline and manage sales budgets.
  • Assist sales staff in closing deals when needed.
  • Set quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Motivate the sales teams to achieve their quotas and measure progress.
  • Identify and execute sales staffing needs for all the company’s locations.
  • Own all areas of hiring, onboarding, and training new sales staff members.
  • Monitor the market and competitor products and activities.
  • Provide detailed sales forecasting.
  • Review customer activity, anticipate consumer needs and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Work with Marketing Department to create an appropriate marketing strategy for your sales teams and give input on company website, collateral material, social media posts, blogs, and newsletters.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Manager or similar role.
  • Experience in the printing industry is a must.
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques.
  • Strong working knowledge of the company’s products, competitive products and the market.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Great strategic planning, organizational and creative thinking skills.
