As a Lead Tableau Developer, you will lead a team of developers, and you’ll have the opportunity to drive the strategic direction of our analytics while leading the growth of other analysts.
We’re looking for someone to lead the modernization of our reporting environment by transitioning all visualization and analytics solutions to Tableau while leveraging cloud data sources (AWS).
What You’ll Do
Daily you will design, develop, and deploy Tableau solutions that drive results, answer questions, and solve business problems. You will champion technical excellence within the team, ensuring best practices are followed while promoting communication, trust, and respect among team members. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to overcome and resolve dependencies. You’ll maintain a consultant-mindset in place of an order-taking mindset. You’ll be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with high quality.
What You’ll Need
To thrive in this role, you must be proficient in designing and building interactive dashboards, operational reports, forecasts, and variance analyses. You have experience working in Enterprise Data Warehouse environments and AWS. You have experience writing complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from different sources. You will perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive decision-making and strategic initiatives. You know when to use extracts versus live connections. You’re skilled in knowing which visuals have the most impact for the desired use-case. You must be a self-starter and require limited guidance towards project deliverables. You will need to have good communication skills, able to adjust your verbal and written communication based on your audience, whether explaining complex technical terms with a developer, an executive, or any level in between.
