Job Overview:

We are hiring a Weekend Header Sub Arc/Lance/End Block Welder  to join a top-tier welding team in Catoosa. This role involves welding headers to specifications, using specialized equipment, and monitoring processes for precision and safety.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Weld trunnions to header ends, aligning them using overhead or jib cranes.
• Operate welding machines by turning cranks or buttons to align the welding electrode over the joint.
• Load electrode wire reels, feed wire through rolls, and position the welding head to the specified angle.
• Set up and fill flux hoppers, ensuring correct flux coverage using nozzles or gravity feed.
• Adjust machine settings, including current, voltage, and feed synchronization, for optimal welding performance.
• Monitor meters, gauges, or the welding process to ensure compliance with standards.
• Examine welds visually, grind surfaces, and make adjustments to meet specifications.
• Tack, fit, and align workpieces; preheat components with a hand torch or furnace.
• Remove slag, flux, or spatter and perform repairs using carbon arc gouging when necessary.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 3+ years of welding experience .
• Proficiency with 1G and 2G plate testing.
• Ability to read gauges, interpret procedures, and perform precision welding.
