Part-time, onsite, 1–2-year internship with a well-established medical device company! As an Human Resources Intern, you will serve an important role in the Regional Advisory (Generalists) teams. This is a learning or exploratory role, meant to expose students to various aspects of HR. You will be part of the People consultative team as support for regional Advisors who ensure that employees, managers, and leaders get objective advice and collaborative problem solving that helps them address people issues with efficiency, empathy, and accountability.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to work between 20-30 hours per week on-site.
  • 2+ years working experience in any field/industry.
  • Human Resource academic studies that will lead to a bachelor’s or master’s degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and flexible in adapting and responding to changing situations. A problem solver.
  • Ability to multi-task; project work a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to present, train/facilitate is plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • High-level of personal integrity and confidentiality.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Shadow and support our Advisors as they provide expert advice, coaching, and counsel to leaders and employees on People programs, policy and procedures, employment/labor laws, performance management, conflict resolution, change management, diversity, and organizational development and design to promote a fair and equitable work environment.
  • Research and learn Federal and state laws including case law and regulations such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, Occupational Health and Safety, understanding how this protects company's interests by ensuring all legal requirements for equal employment and compliance are met.
  • Assist with the staffing process to ensure talent needs and diversity considerations are fulfilled.
  • May assist in employee relations compliance activities.
  • Participate in building the capability of managers through training, development and coaching.
  • Participate in process improvement activities such as mapping, analyzing, and documenting.
  • Participate in medium complexity projects and may be asked to lead low complexity projects.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

PAY TRANSPARENCY POLICY STATEMENT

Compensation for roles at Suna Solutions varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific client, office or remote location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Suna Solutions provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Suna Solutions reasonably expects to pay for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.

Pay Scale of Starting Pay for role: $21-$22/hr.
