SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission, and Information Technology Division provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, DevSecOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.
We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Architect to join our National Intelligence Program providing analytic and software capabilities to include data visualization tools, language translation, data ingestions, extraction, and modeling. This position can be in Herndon, VA, McLean, VA, or Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
As the lead Systems Architect , you will be the central point of contact to oversee the review and design of interfaces that integrate the infrastructure ecosystem with monitoring and audit capabilities. This role demands meticulous attention to ensuring that the data layer is compatible with the infrastructure, operating systems, and middleware, ensuring seamless functionality and data flow. You'll develop and integrate monitoring and audit capabilities into the infrastructure ecosystem to maintain high security and performance standards.
Additionally, you'll need to thrive in an Agile environment, adeptly managing and adapting to changes throughout the project lifecycle. Strong communication skills are vital for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and for documenting architectural decisions. Leadership capabilities will enable you to guide the team and ensure the successful implementation of the systems architecture and operations and maintenance are sustained without interruption.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
- Will consider additional 4 years’ experience with a HS diploma in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- Expertise in System Integration and ability to integrate on-premises systems with cloud services, ensuring seamless operation and data flow.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or other major cloud service providers.
- Experience with on-premises infrastructure to include understanding of on-premises server management, including Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
- Networking proficiency in network architecture.
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and operating in a DevSecOps environment.
- Experience with security best practices, compliance requirements, and implementation of security measures.
- DevOps Practices: Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with government stakeholders, software developers, network engineers, and data scientists to design and implement comprehensive systems architectures.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of the systems architecture, design decisions, and implementation processes, providing technical guidance and leadership to ensure best practices are followed and plans align with the Sponsor’s strategic direction.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desired:
- Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
- Understanding of object-oriented software with languages like Java, C++, Python or Ruby ideally in SOA applications.
- Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.
- One or more Certifications in the following:
- Cloud Certified Solutions Architect
- AWS Certified, Azure Certified
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
