Our client, a company at the forefront of transforming the robotics landscape for military and public safety applications, has an immediate opening for a Head of HR. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing systems, policies, and procedures that align with the company’s business goals, drive employee engagement, and contribute to developing a supportive workplace culture.Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage HR strategies, systems, and processes aligned with company goals and culture
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team on all people-related matters
  • Build and lead the HR department, hiring and managing a team as the company grows
  • Establish best practices for recruitment, onboarding, talent development, employee engagement, organizational development, performance management, and employee relations
  • Support employee growth and development through training and leadership programs
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive company culture that attracts and retains top talent
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs
  • Handle sensitive employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience managing diverse teams and promoting an inclusive workplace culture
  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Experience with the selection and implementation of HR software and databases (e.g. ATS, HRIS)
  • Experience in recruiting/talent acquisition and employee development
  • Proven experience in building and leading HR functions from scratch in a fast-growing company
  • Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • High level of initiative, proactive problem-solving, and adaptability
  • Proven ability to create and implement effective HR policies and procedures
