Our client, a company at the forefront of transforming the robotics landscape for military and public safety applications, has an immediate opening for a Head of HR. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing systems, policies, and procedures that align with the company’s business goals, drive employee engagement, and contribute to developing a supportive workplace culture.Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage HR strategies, systems, and processes aligned with company goals and culture
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team on all people-related matters
- Build and lead the HR department, hiring and managing a team as the company grows
- Establish best practices for recruitment, onboarding, talent development, employee engagement, organizational development, performance management, and employee relations
- Support employee growth and development through training and leadership programs
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive company culture that attracts and retains top talent
- Manage compensation and benefits programs
- Handle sensitive employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Experience managing diverse teams and promoting an inclusive workplace culture
- Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Experience with the selection and implementation of HR software and databases (e.g. ATS, HRIS)
- Experience in recruiting/talent acquisition and employee development
- Proven experience in building and leading HR functions from scratch in a fast-growing company
- Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- High level of initiative, proactive problem-solving, and adaptability
- Proven ability to create and implement effective HR policies and procedures
