Overview:

ReGenesis Health Care is seeking an enthusiastic Director of Addiction Medicine with excellent leadership and patient-care skills and a great attitude to join our established Community Health Center. The Director of Addiction Medicine will head our Addiction Medicine department providing leadership and oversight for providers providing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services, serving as medical director of the Phoenix Center, and providing MAT care to our patients. Certification/License:

  • South Carolina license to practice medicine.
  • Current certification by an appropriate American Specialty Board, or board eligible and in process to become board certified within 12 months of hire.

Experience:

  • Completion of a qualified residency program or demonstration of a reasonable volume of patient care within the past 12 months.
  • Experience with Patient Centered Medical Home model preferred.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.
  • Completion of an approved residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Completion of an approved fellowship in Addiction Medicine, preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • You will direct the Addiction Medicine programs of the organization according to the guidelines established by the CMO and in accordance with the provider's training and board certification.
  • You will supervise the performance improvement activities of the health center that relate to the Addiction Medicine program as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer, including the clinical care measures.
  • You will report to the Chief Medical Officer and work as a team member with other Directors and Managers in the organization to independently manage special projects as assigned by the CMO.
  • You will provide quality treatment for substance use disorders for all patients in accordance with the physician's medical specialty.
  • You will develop a plan of care for each patient, including medical history, physician examination, appropriate treatment and/or referral, including hospitalization when necessary.
  • You will use all available resources in diagnosis and treatment, such as laboratory and radiological testing, in an appropriate and cost-efficient manner.
  • You will confer with other members of the health care team, patients, and patient's families concerning the treatment and care of patients.
  • You will supervise Nurse Practitioners according to contractual obligations and in accordance with the RHC Collaborative Agreement.
