Coda Search is partnering with an $80BN investment management firm with offices located in New York, NY. This global firm invests in a variety of different assets with a strong focus on emerging equities with offices across the globe. The team is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing a variety of accounting and finance functions including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, and managing day-to-day cash management activities. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Assistant Controller assisting with the monthly consolidated financial reporting package and monthly variance/trend analysis
The team has shown exponential growth and has become a prominent player within the emerging equities space.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the month end close overseeing the balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
- Manage the general ledger; reconciling accounts and posting journal entries
- Prepare intercompany transactions between several entities
- Assist with budgeting/forecasting across various divisions
- Post journal entries and perform monthly account analysis
- Assist with the annual audit and prepare any support documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years’ experience ideally in the financial services sector
- Excellent communication skills
- CPA a plus
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs/pivots)
