JOB DESCRIPTION
DEPARMENT: Operations
LOCATION: Theater
SUPERVISORY RESPONSABILITY NO
REPORTS TO: General Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Bartenders create a spirit of excellence and fun and can be key in creating an indulging experience for our guests. They must have a wide breadth of knowledge and ability to recommend items as well as ensure consistent drink quality by preparing orders in a short period of time and in accordance with recipes and guidelines. They also maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area in a fast-paced environment, while providing superior guest service.
JOB DUTIES
• Greet guests who approach all bar area immediately with a smile and warm hospitality, embodying Nice and Amazing Service.
• Demonstrate Passion and Commitment by rapidly and accurately taking food and beverage orders and using selling maximizations for every guest.
• Create a unique and amazing experience for guests by possessing full knowledge of bar and menu items and being able to make recommendations.
• Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements, 21 or order, for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for server orders, patrons of the bar, lobby and lounge following standard recipes.
• Clean as you go including glasses, utensils, bar equipment, and bussing tables.
• Implement alcohol service and safety training, including but not limited to the following: ensuring that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only, not over serving an intoxicated guest, and do not hesitate to ask for management intervention if necessary.
• Set up and maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar.
• Keep Bar Supervisor up to date on inventory levels.
• Wash and sanitize all stemware.
• Process all payments correctly and promptly to ensure they have a smooth transition into the theater.
• Navigate guest complaints and assist with requests or direct them to proper resource if unable to assist.
• Complete all opening, mid and closing procedures- including but not limited to side work.
• Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Must be 18 years or older
• 1+ years of bartending experience with full bar
• ServSafe and Alcohol training certifications required
• Ability to work with Vista Point of Sale System and perform basic math
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with employees, guests, and management
• Organized and able to prioritize in a fast paced and constantly changing environment while maintaining a smile and positive attitude
• Great communication skills with the ability to handle difficult and stressful situations and issues in a positive manner
• Flexible working hours including nights, holidays and weekends
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, you will walk, bend, and stand for periods of time. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee may be asked to light lift 25lbs to 50lbs occasionally with assistance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a theater environment where typical levels of noise, dust and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is typical for cinemas and can vary from moderate to high depending on areas of premise.
