The Opportunity
As a Staff Tax Accountant at Catalis, you will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Tax Manager and other members of the tax team in processing tax reports, payments, and returns, maintaining the tax compliance calendar, responding to correspondence, and other tax-related duties. This role is hybrid, and the ideal candidate will be located in the Jacksonville, Florida area.
What you Will do
  • Prepare tax returns, including supporting work papers for corporations and partnerships
  • Research and analysis of international tax provisions effecting corporations
  • Assistance with the preparation of transfer pricing analyses detailing intercompany transactions such as services, tangible property, intangible property, and loans
  • Assist with state and local tax consulting projects related to tax planning, due diligence, nexus and taxability studies, apportionment and revenue sourcing, voluntary disclosures, audit defense, credits and incentives, and various other multistate projects
  • Perform research and technical analysis of multistate income / franchise, sales, use, gross receipts and other state or local tax issues
  • Assist with the preparation of the provision for income taxes
  • Prepare Sales & Use tax returns
  • Prepare Tangible Property tax returns
  • Prepare monthly tax accrual entries
Requirements
What you Will Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field is required; Master's of Accounting or Taxation preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of related tax experience required
  • Demonstrable ability to think through complex processes and implement efficiencies
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, verbal and written communications skills, and strong customer service orientation
  • Experience with OneSource Income Tax is highly preferred
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills exercising discretion and diplomacy in working with others including all levels of management needed; proactive thinker, positive attitude, maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shift priorities as necessary to meet deadlines
