Our core focus is to create raving fans by growing the value in every relationship.Duties & Essential Functions:Identify and develop commercial insurance opportunities with new and existing clients through various channels, including in-person meetings, phone calls, online interactions, and written correspondence.Build and maintain strong relationships with the commercial lending and mortgage production teams to facilitate collaboration and client referrals.Establish and nurture client relationships through regular follow-ups, timely quotations, and comprehensive account support.Conduct detailed risk assessments to recommend suitable coverage options tailored to client needs.Work closely with underwriters to secure competitive quotes and optimal coverage for clients.Stay informed on industry trends and policy updates to provide knowledgeable advice and guidance.Actively network and strategize to identify new business opportunities and clients.Assist clients with policy renewals and retention strategies, ensuring strong ongoing relationships.Proactively address and follow up on client inquiries and needs.Monitor key performance metrics to ensure sales targets are met and exceeded.Maintain accurate and timely sales activity documentation using Applied Epic and Salesforce.Collaborate with team members, mentor junior staff, and participate in both formal and informal meetings to share expertise and best practices.Refer potential new business opportunities to the mortgage and banking teams as appropriate.Deliver prompt and effective service to both internal and external clients.Exhibit commitment and reliability through regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedules.Other Functions and Responsibilities:Maintain CE and participate in ongoing education.Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.Review client audits, verify and facilitate corrections as needed.Maintain A/R and billing.Display a positive, helpful attitude to help create a friendly and professional environment for clients and coworkers.Additional duties as assigned.Required Qualifications, Education and Experience:Minimum of two years’ commercial lines insurance sales experience.Hold a valid Nebraska or Iowa insurance license.Have a bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience.Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively secure new business and maintain existing client base.Have a proven track record of business-to-business sales success.Possess strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to close sales.Be people-oriented, customer-focused, and professionally assertive in developing new client relationships and servicing existing clients.Possess outstanding organizational skills with an ability to complete difficult assignments without supervision.Demonstrate sound business judgment, strong decision-making, and superior written and verbalcommunication skills.Have excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset.Thrive in a team environment and be a positive team player.Possess excellent math and reading skills to accurately perform calculations.Have technology and computer proficiency, including agency management systems.Possess a valid driver’s license and a source of reliable transportation.Physical demands :DrivingSedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.Communicating with others to exchange information.Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.Travel : As necessary.Supervisory responsibilities : noneAffirmative action plan/equal employment opportunity (AAP/EEO) statement— Arbor Bank maintains a policy of non-discrimination with employees and applicants for employment.
