financial decision-making and overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations. This

role involves managing everything from transactional accounting to budgeting and financial

reporting, with a strong emphasis on mergers and acquisitions (M&A). You'll assess financial

performance, evaluate risks, guide investments, and ensure that our financial processes align

with both short-term and long-term business goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker

with a solid grasp of financial and business principles, who excels at leadership and making

data-driven, profitable decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial evaluations, due diligence, and strategic analysis for potential M&A opportunities.
  • Advise executive leadership on the financial implications of mergers, acquisitions, and other investments.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, collections follow-up, and aging reviews.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, including vendor management, bill processing, and payments.
  • Supervise bank transactions, ensuring accurate coding, expense management, and regular reconciliations.
  • Take ownership of the month-end close process, overseeing revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations, and the preparation of financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, preparing comprehensive profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow projections.
  • Provide ongoing quarterly forecasting updates based on key business assumptions and performance trends.
  • Conduct in-depth variance analysis of actual financial results versus budgeted figures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal control processes to safeguard the financial integrity of the company.
  • Attend leadership meetings, providing business insights and financial recommendations to support company-wide decision-making.
  • Collaborate with department heads to deliver financial reports and assist in making strategic decisions.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to inform organizational strategy and support growth initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, overseeing their work in financial reporting, billing, collections, and budget preparation.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for the finance staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership, including at least 2 years in a role focused on M&A.
  • Proven experience in a $30M+ revenue company, with demonstrated expertise in financial strategy and business growth.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to oversee M&A processes and advise on strategic investments.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software and financial systems, with proficiency in QuickBooks and Google Suite.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
