IT Director

Royal Oak, MI (In-Office Position)

Autoparts.com is a growing family of companies. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced IT Director to lead our technology strategy and ensure our IT systems support our business objectives effectively.

The IT Director will be responsible for overseeing the technology infrastructure and systems at Autoparts.com. This in-office role requires a strategic leader who can plan, implement, and manage IT initiatives aligned with the company’s goals. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, including expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite, and strong leadership skills to ensure successful systems implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute IT strategies that align with Autoparts.com’s business objectives, including infrastructure improvements, system integrations, and enhanced cybersecurity measures.
  2. Technology Management: Oversee the management, implementation, and optimization of IT systems, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and aligned with operational needs.
  3. Systems Implementation: Lead and manage the implementation of new technology systems and solutions, ensuring they are integrated effectively and meet business requirements.
  4. Project Management: Manage IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
  5. Security and Compliance: Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures. Monitor and address data security and compliance risks, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
  6. Support and Troubleshooting: Assist employees with technology-related issues, providing timely and effective support for hardware, software, and network problems. Implement and manage processes for efficient issue tracking and resolution.
  7. Microsoft Office Suite Expertise: Ensure effective utilization and management of the Microsoft Office Suite across the organization, providing support and training to employees as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP) are preferred.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in IT management with a strong track record in technology strategy, implementation, and execution.
  3. Experience in the automotive parts industry is highly desirable.
  4. Nice to Have: Familiarity with industry-specific software such as PartsWatch, Checkmate, Pinnacle, Big Commerce, and Epicor.
  5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to IT challenges.
  7. In-depth knowledge of IT security practices, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements.
  8. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is essential.
