For 30 years now, Living Advantage, Inc., a 501(c)3, has been dedicated to helping at-risk youth. From the beginning, the mission was to provide housing, therapeutic treatment, educational support, and independent living skills to wards of the court in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. After 11 successful years, LA, Inc. aimed for a larger social problem to address—foster youth.

The Program Manager is responsible for all day-to-day programmatic management of Living Advantage Inc. Areas of involvement include but are not limited to budget development and management; development and maintenance of program policies and procedures; providing and/or coordinating staff development, ensuring quality program/client records are maintained, program-related meeting attendance; supervising all staff while also establishing and maintaining positive relationships with contractors, foundations, government, and community agencies; community presentations and/or representation of the agency.

Responsibilities:

  • Organizing daily activities based on the goals of the organization
  • Work to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Monitoring projects and overseeing case managers to ensure goals are met
  • Working with the marketing team to improve strategies
  • Work with executive leadership to design and implement services for our clients
  • Read, prioritize, and summarize all correspondence including mail, email, and phone calls
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required.
  • 5 or more years experience providing management, oversight, and leadership in a comparable program setting.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, including Live Scan fingerprinting.
  • Valid California driver's license and automobile insurance indicating access to reliable transportation.
  • Must have CPR certification or be willing to acquire it on the job.
